(February 13, 2016) — Huckabay shrugged off a slow start and beat Gordon 42-19 Friday night, setting up a second-place showdown with arch-rival Lingleville Tuesday at HHS.

JW Weiss scored 16 points after going scoreless in the first, when both teams scored just four points. Weiss had nine and Huckabay totaled 12 in the second quarter, opening up a 16-9 lead at half.

Gage Dowell also netted 16 for Huckabay, including 10 during a 15-2 third quarter surge that ultimately determined the outcome.

Tyler Stegall scored seven for the Indians, Taylor Lopez three and Jordan Ritchey two.
