STEPHENVILLE (March 16, 2016) — Stephenville (14-0-2) is one win from completing the first unbeaten regular season in the history of its boys soccer program.
The Yellow Jackets secured a district championship Tuesday night, drubbing Abilene Wylie on the road, 5-0, behind two goals from Tino Rocha and the shut out net minding of Noble Alexander.
Rocha scored both immediately before and following halftime, after Pedro Mannriquez opened the scoring with a header into the net off a corner kick by Aaron Veloz.

Veloz later scored on a header off a long kick from Ivan Cabrera, opening up a 4-0 lead, and Brady Alofrd put in the final goal with a cross from Aaron Burrows.
Stephenville has won five straight since back-to-back ties, and completes its regular season at Brownwood on Friday, March 18, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Looking ahead to the state playoffs, it appears Stephenville will draw Decatur in the opening round. First-year Yellow Jacket head coach Chayden Feist says he’s hoping to set the match for Thursday.
