(March 15, 2016) — Stephenville softball is on the longest win streak in the history of the program.

Stephenville won for the ninth straight game on Tuesday, beating Eastland, 12-1. The Honeybees led 7-0 after the opening two innings and pulled away from there for their second victory over Eastland in a stretch of 15 wins in 16 games.

District play begins Friday when the Honeybees host Brownwood at 7 p.m. in Stephenville City Park.

Nadine Arredondo was again the star from the plate with a 3-run home run and four total runs driven in. Sami Shaffer drove in three runs.

Julia Flores pitched all five innings, allowing just one run and two hits. She retired nine batters on strikes without a walk.
