Lee Tannahill, 85, of Stephenville, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016 in Stephenville.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church 422 W Washington St, Stephenville, TX, with Rev. Howard Martin officiating. Interment will follow at the Mount Olivet Cemetery 2301 N. Sylvania Ave. Fort Worth, TX. The family will receive friends Tuesday, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Stephenville Funeral Home 120 W. South Loop Stephenville, Texas.
Lee was born on November 3, 1930 in Fort Worth to the late Hartman and Evelyn Tannahill. He married the love of his life, Sara Benham on October 30, 1954 in Fort Worth. Lee has resided in Stephenville for the past 19 years after living most of his life in Fort Worth. He was a teacher, and principal for the Fort Worth ISD for many years. Lee was a loyal member of the Old Goats Coffee Club and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Stephenville.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Sara Tannahill of Stephenville; sisters, Betty Stiles of Weatherford, and Bobbie Harbuck of Waco; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Dorothy Bailey.
