STEPHENVILLE (April 14, 2016) – Isabel Jimenez-Perea was named the Lone Star Conference Golfer of the Week for the ninth time in her career after her performance at the Doc Housewright Invitational.
On senior day, Jimenez-Perea helped lead Tarleton to its third straight tournament victory at the Doc Housewright Invitational and came away with a second-place finish on the individual leaderboard, carding a 71 and 72 for a final score of 143 (-1). Jimenez-Perea tallied 27 pars and had five birdies in the tournament. It’s the fifth top-2 finish of the 2015-16 season for Jimenez-Perea.
Tarleton, the No. 1-ranked team in the West region, will play in the Lone Star Conference tournament on April 18-19 in Frisco at Frisco Lakes Golf Club.
