STEPHENVILLE (May 27, 2016) – These photos are from the Stephenville City Park, the Collins Street bridge, College Farm Road and more. Flash photo editor Russell Huffman reported there were three feet of water over the road near the Collins Street bridge. Stephenville Police Chief Jason King said the police and city officials were taking extra precautions and shutting down the city park at all entrances until the water from the Bosque River goes down. While photographers were on scene, a kayaker who was attempting to put in the river was told not to by officers due to danger from debris in the water, which was still rising as of 1 p.m.
