(June 2, 2016) — Dublin reached the playoffs for the second time in school history, won a playoff series for the first time.
That’s a stark improvement for a baseball team that won just one game a year ago. Fittingly, the Lions have eight all-district picks this season after just one in 2015, and this year they even have one of the 8-3A players of the year.
Jeremy Yarbrough was Dublin’s ace all season and was named 8-3A Pitcher of the Year in a vote of district head coaches. He is joined on the first-team roster by senior first baseman Justin Ricks, sophomore second baseman Tim Teten, senior third baseman JC Loredo and senior center fielder Morgan Johnson.
Dublin also boasts second-team selections in sophomore left fielder Josh Hanes and sophomore designated hitter Hesten Henning, and honorable-mention picks in catcher Rayce Jackson.
