Tarleton’s criminology school hosts info fair on master’s degree program

FORT WORTH — Find out how a master’s degree in criminal justice can advance your career when Tarleton State University’s School of Criminology, Criminal Justice and Strategic Studies hosts an information fair Saturday, June 11.

The fair takes place from 10 a.m. to noon at the Tarleton-Fort Worth center, 6777 Camp Bowie Blvd. Faculty and staff, as well as current and former students, will share the benefits of the master’s in criminal justice and cohort degree programs and answer questions.

Prospective students can complete applications at the fair, and those already accepted into the master’s program can register for fall classes.

“Given the current challenges for criminal justice professionals, a graduate degree in criminal justice is advantageous for career advancement,” said Dr. Alex del Carmen, executive director of Tarleton’s criminology school. “For the convenience of working professionals, graduate classes are offered in a variety of formats.”

Tarleton’s Master of Criminal Justice Cohort Program allows students to start and finish their graduate degree with the same group of individuals, providing opportunities to network and collaborate with other criminal justice professionals.

A new Master of Criminal Justice Cohort Program begins each fall and lasts 18 months.
