Minnie Josephine Basore Harrison, 97, of Stephenville died Thursday, June 16, 2016 in Stephenville.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 25th at Cowboy Church of Erath County with Werth Mays officiating. Burial will follow at Johnsville Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at Stephenville Funeral Home.

Josephine was born on October 4, 1918 in Berryville, Arkansas to the late Minnie Etta Boatright and Harry Harrison Basore, Jr. She married Joe Harrison on June 2, 1942, in Berryville, Arkansas. Joe preceded her in death on January 18, 1981. Josephine began her career in nursing in Kansas City, and served in many areas in the nursing profession. She and her family moved to Stephenville in 1959 where she worked at Stephenville Hospital for many years as a Registered Nurse. She attended First Baptist Church and later Cowboy Church of Erath County. She loved playing dominos and scrabble, and spending time with her family.

Josephine is survived by her children, Doug and wife Toby Harrison of Fresno, CA, Donnie Harrison of Stephenville, Debbie and husband Jay Mills of Stephenville, and Mary McCoy of Hico; grandchildren, Mike and wife Ruth Harrison, Mitch and wife Nan Harrison, Julie and husband Nathion Griffin, Jodi and husband Marty Golightly, Cori and husband Rick Garcia, and Tyson Holloway; 16 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, Josephine was also preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
