Janice Marie (Gary) Pettit was born on March 4, 1942 in Abilene, Texas. She went to be with her LORD on June 24, 2016 at the age of 74 years, 3 months and 20 days. She was the daughter of Leon Pierce Gary and Wilma Ozell (Cox) Gary. She is survived by her daughter & Significant Other – Janna Cody & Aaron Flaherty of Marineon St. Croix, Minn.; her sister – Joyce Watts of Denton, Texas; her brothers & sister-in-law – Wayne & Dianna Gary of Azle, Texas and Don Gary of Cross Plains, Texas. Her 3 grandchildren – Sterling Smith, Sierra Smith and Skylar Cody.
Janice was a graduate of Wylie High School and received her Masters Degree from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas and had worked for the State Of Texas-Department of Human Services in the Benefit Department in Granbury, Texas. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
