STEPHENVILLE (July 5, 2016) — Huston Academy is ready to resume competing in high school football, and new head coach Kevin Wilson has scheduled a parent/player football meeting to kick off the new season.

Wilson says the meeting is 5:30 p.m. Thursday, July 7, at the Huston Academy Cafeteria.

“We will be discussing football, schedule, travel, insurance and booster club,” said Wilson by text message Tuesday morning.

Huston Academy competed in six-man football for two seasons before dropping the sport last year, its first under superintendent Mike Scott, who elected to hire Wilson and bring back the sport in its 11-man version this fall.

Wilson is a former defensive coordinator at Stephenville High School and head coach at Terrell High School. He also coached in Granbury.
