ERATH COUNTY (July 21, 2016) – First responders were dispatched to an accident on US Highway 67, north of Stephenville, just after noon Thursday.
According to Texas DPS investigators on scene, a 2002 silver Honda passenger car was traveling west on 67 towards Stephenville.
“For some unknown reason, the vehicle drove off the right side of the roadway and up onto a guardrail near County Road 184,” said Texas DPS PIO Sr. Trooper Dub Gillum. “The vehicle rolled multiple times ejecting the driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace S. Bass, Stephenville.”
The driver was later identified as Tarleton State student Hannah Russell, 21, from Burleson.
The accident is still under investigation by DPS Trooper Doug Acker, THP Glen Rose.
