STEPHENVILLE (July 27, 2016) — Two parking lots, P13 and P37, on the Tarleton State University campus will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, July 28, in order for contractors to complete a site survey as part of the ongoing infrastructure and utilities improvement project.

Faculty and staff assigned to lots P13 and P37 are asked to park in lot P23 (Red Zone), at the corner of West Vanderbilt Street and North Neblett Avenue just west of the Bosque Crossing Apartments complex, or in lot P15 (Blue Zone) near the Fine Arts Center during the one-day closure.

Employees will still have access to P15 through P13 while the survey work is being completed.

Contractors will complete their survey on Thursday and fully reopen the two parking lots to faculty and staff on Friday, July 29.

Electrical work is scheduled to take place in lots P13 and P37 as part of the utilities improvements project, including the trenching and burial of conduit in select portions of P37—the parking lot between the university’s Physical Facilities complex and Heritage Park. A limited number of parking spaces will be unavailable but the remainder of the lot will remain open.

Contractors expect all utility work in these two affected parking lots to be completed ahead of the beginning of the fall semester on Aug. 29. Should the work continue beyond the expected completion date, the university will announce an alternative lot location for faculty and staff.
