Narval “Sonny” Brown, born December 4, 1935 in Tarrant County, Texas to parents Everitt and Effie (Odom) Brown, passed away in Hico, Texas on August 19, 2016 at the age of 80. Narval was known as Sonny to all who knew him. Sonny was a graduate of Diamond Hill Jarvis High School in Ft. Worth. Sonny enjoyed his career as a long haul truck driver, reading western novels, watching nature (birds), his dog Missy and most of all kids who visited.
Preceding Sonny in death were his parents and daughter Elizabeth Mims. Surviving Sonny are his wife of 41 years, Mary Moore Brown, son Randy C. Brown, daughter Pamela K. Brown, son Steve Terry and wife Susan, son Mark Terry and wife Karen, son Cris Terry, and son in-law Greg Mims. Sonny is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Services, 10:00 am, Monday, August 22. 2016 at Harvest Hills Funeral Home with Dace Clifton officiating, with Pallbearers Reed Terry, Chad Cogburn, Kelly Coker, Sonny Brown, Jr., Tyler Vaughn and Justin Wallace assisting. Burial to follow at Fairy Cemetery, Fairy, Texas.
Service Information
The family will receive guests at 9 a.m. on Monday, August 22, at the Harvest Hills Funeral Home in Hico. A chapel service will begin at 10 a.m. in the Harvest Hills Chapel in Hico. Burial will follow in the Fairy Cemetery.
