Tarleton looks to remain atop the Lone Star Conference standings as the TexAnns return home after a pair of conference road wins to take on Texas A&M-Kingsville.

THE GAME
The TexAnns (11-2, 4-1) get set to play Texas A&M-Kingsville (12-3, 3-1) on Friday, October 30 at 6 p.m. in the Wisdom Volleyball Gym.

ABOUT THE TEXANNS
Tarleton is coming off a pair of road wins against West Texas A&M (3-2) and Texas-Permian Basin (3-0). The TexAnns are in a three-way tie for first place in the LSC with Angelo State and West Texas A&M. Texas A&M-Kingsville is a half game back with three wins to its one loss. Tarleton has seven sweeps on the season and is now 2-0 after a loss. The TexAnns are 5-2 at home on the year and haven’t lost more than two home games in the last three seasons. Hailey Roberts leads all of NCAA Division II in kills per set with 5.58 and points per set at 6.18. Jordyn Keamo leads the TexAnns in assists (520) and aces with 30. Adrianna Knutson‘s 228 digs leads the Tarleton defense.

MILESTONE WATCH
Hailey Roberts is approaching the Tarleton school record for career kills. Desiree Reed holds the record since 2005 with 1,545 kills. Roberts, in only two and a half seasons, has 1,488 kills and needs 58 kills to break the record.

ABOUT THE JAVELINAS
The Javelinas are 12-3 on the year and 3-1 in the Lone Star Conference. TAMUK is 3-2 on the road this season, but Kingsville has won two straight matches, both on the road. The Javelinas have six sweeps on the year and all three losses have come on the road or at a neutral site. Krystal Falson and Ashley Bukowski lead the Javelinas in kills with 170 and 137, respectively. Casey Klobedans’ 574 assists lead the team. Defensively, Falson (202) and Krystal Puente (200) lead the team in digs.

UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
The TexAnns will hit the road and travel north to take Cameron and Midwestern State on Oct. 7 and Oct. 8.
