ABOUT THE TEXANNS
Tarleton has won five straight games with four of those matches coming on the road. The TexAnns, who are 4-0 on the road, have swept its opponents nine times this season, including two straight matches. Although the upcoming match against DBU is nonconference, the TexAnns are tied for first in the LSC standings with Angelo State with only one loss. This is the second time this season that Tarleton has won at least five games in a row, right behind the six-game winning streak to open the season. Tarleton is led by Hailey Roberts and her 304 kills at 5.53 kills per set, which leads the nation. Roberts needs five kills against DBU to break the school’s all-time record for career kills, which would surpass Desiree Reed’s record of 1,545. Setting Roberts up is Jordyn Keamo, who ranks second in the LSC with 11.55 assists per set and has 635 on the year. Keamo also ranks first in the LSC in aces with 35. Also in the LSC ranks is Hannah McManus, who is fifth in blocks per set at 1.04 and Adrianna Kntuson, ranking third in digs per set with 4.84.

ABOUT THE PATRIOTS
Dallas Baptist is 4-14 overall and 2-4 in the Heartland Conference. The Patriots have struggled at home, going 1-4 so far this season. DBU is coming off a 3-0 loss to Lubbock Christian, who the TexAnns defeated in five games back on Sept. 8. DBU is 0-4 against Lone Star Conference opponents this season. This will be the 42nd career meeting between Tarleton and DBU, with the TexAnns holding a 35-6 series lead against the Patriots. Tarleton has won three straight against DBU and two straight on the road. The TexAnns are 12-4 all-time when playing in Dallas. DBU is led by Sidnee Fitzpatrick’s 155 kills this season while Strealy Sizelove is the team leader in assists with 512. Fitzpatrick is also the team’s defensive leader at the net with a team-best 45 blocks on the year.

UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
The TexAnns return to LSC play with home games against Eastern New Mexico on Friday, Oct. 14 at 6 p.m. and against Western New Mexico on Saturday at 2 p.m.
