STEPHENVILLE (November 13, 2016) – On Sunday afternoon there was a military service award ceremony to honor and thank those who have fought and served their country honorably. The five award recipients were: Leroy “The Candy Man” Griffin, Jack Parks, Jay Mills, Fred Ewers and Gene Skaggs.
Ewers and Mills were receiving the awards to honor their fathers who have passed. Jay Mills’ father was Vernon Mills and Fred Ewers father was also named Fred Ewers. The event was very well attended and the weather was perfect for the outdoor portion of the ceremony.
