STEPHENVILLE (November 15, 2016) — Gatesville scored 19 straight points in the first half and Stephenville never recovered, dropping its season opener, 67-50, at Gandy Gym Tuesday night.

Stephenville did battle in the second half, outscoring the Hornets 36-27  after intermission. The Yellow Jackets were led by Blake Aragon and Mason Holstein with nine points each while Coby Vandenberg added six and Cameron Frazier, Kai Willems and Clay Krause each netted five.
