Stephenville – Services for David Starnes, 33, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 19, 2016, at Lacy Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Knowles officiating. Burial will follow at Pecan Cemetery in Erath County. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, November 18, 2016, at Lacy Funeral Home.
David was born in Kilgore, Texas, on January 16, 1983. He was an amazing musician and hairdresser who loved being around people – he was larger than life. David was also known as someone who had a huge personality and never met a stranger.
He served in the United States Army for a short period of time.
Survivors include his parents, Egypt Morgan Starnes and Curtis Starnes of Granbury, Texas; daughter, Jayden Roberts of Glen Rose, Texas; sisters, Chelsea Hansen and husband, Cody, of Stephenville, Texas, Taylor Starnes of Carrollton, Texas, and Jalea Seals of Fort Worth, Texas; brother, Josh Starnes of Stephenville, Texas; as well as several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
David was preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard Ballard and Nova Parry, and great-grandparents, Richard Aaron Ballard and Peggy Ballard.
