A memorial service will be held on Sunday December 4th, 2016 at Church of Christ North, at 2:00 pm.
Dorothy was born on January 15, 1933 in Thurber, Texas, to the late Willie and Julie Pauline Duke Pipes. She married the love of her life Billie Ray Hensley in Stephenville on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1950. Dorothy had resided in Stephenville since 1994, until moving to Shreveport to be close to her family. Dorothy worked for Hensley Photo in Fort Worth for seventeen years before retirement. Prior to 1994 she was a member of the Graham Street Church of Christ in Stephenville. She was currently a member of Church of Christ North, in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of almost 66 years, Billie Ray Hensley of Shreveport Louisiana; daughter, Pamela Gwen Kent of Yelm, Washington; daughter Carmen Diane Pharis and son-in-law John Pharis of Shreveport, Louisiana; three grandchildren, Robert Joel Stephen Alston, Amy Renee’ Patriquin, and Kennedy Ryan James; eleven great grandchildren; two brothers, James Neal Pipes, and Robert Eugene Pipes, and one sister Martha Aline Ogle.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents Willie and Julie Pauline Duke Pipes, one Grandson Matthew Kent, one Grand son-in-law Captain Travis L Patriquin, one sister Annie Lee Burgess, and three brothers Willie Brann Pipes, Jr., Charles David Pipes, and John Roy Pipes.
