VISITATION: 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 20, at the funeral home.

Marilyn Wells, age 88, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2016, in Granbury, Texas.

She was born on June 7, 1928, in Littlefield, Texas, to John and Ruth (Yeager) Stockinger. On December 13, 1954, she was united in marriage to Billy Dempsey Wells in Clovis, New Mexico. He preceded her in death on July 13, 2012. She was devoted to her family and was a very special mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Marilyn was employed as a billing clerk for the City of Littlefield for nine years and worked for REA in Littlefield for fifteen years. She was a Methodist.

She is survived by three children: Paula Barnhart of Granbury, Tena Ervin and husband Jim of Granbury, and D.J. Green and wife Shirley of Comanche; grandchildren: Larry Strickland II of Azle, Lisa Soper and husband Travis of Canyon, Michael Theleman of Holland, Michigan, Allen Strickland of Granbury, Marilyn Green of Alba, Heather Johnson and husband Gerald of Quinlan, Beverlee Green of Brownwood, Ashlie Salinas and husband Daylon of Granbury, K.C. Riggs and wife Danielle of Granbury, Brady Perry and wife Monica of Hamilton, Michael Andrade and wife Katy of Anahuac, Raymond Beckman of Louisiana, Tim Tress of Minnesota, and Gilbert Smith of Comanche; nineteen great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Gladys Posey of Comanche; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by son-in-law, Larry Strickland I, and brother, Billy Roy Stockinger.
