(January 4, 2017) — Jarod Hagood and Luke Whiteley scored 13 points each and No. 8 Lingleville controlled Gorman, 55-28, in a boys district opener Tuesday evening.

The Cardinals played from in front the whole way after a 12-4 start in the first quarter, and really blew it open with a 16-4 margin in the third.

Mondini Mateo and Sergio Rangel each added seven points for the Caridnals, Meine Huisman netted four and Tyson Click, Bailey Fenn and Tom VanKranenburg each chipped in with three. Jason Misemer scored two.

The Cardinals visit Strawn at 7:30 p.m. Friday following a 6 p.m. girls contest.
