(February 14, 2017) — Marissa Warren poured in 19 points and Hico dominated the second half of a 57-30 Region II-2A girls bi-district playoff win over Petrolia at Brock High School Monday.

Hico was clinging to a 23-17 edge at halftime, against an opponent the Lady Tigers beat by just two in the playoffs last year. But there was another half to go, and that one belonged to Hico.

The Lady Tigers outscored Petrolia 34-13 after intermission, when Warren scored 13, sending them on to the area round where they meet the winner of Muenster and Valley View.

Other scorers for Hico were Kaylee Roach and Shelby Polk with 9 each, Kaylee Moore eight, Sydney Polk seven, Emilee Jackson three and Lauryl Stegall two.
