Luther ‘Luke’ Lee Laughlin

Luther ‘Luke’ Lee Laughlin, 91, of White Settlement, died Tuesday, February 21, 2017 in Fort Worth.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, February 23rd at Morgan Mill Cemetery with Joe Rogers officiating. Visitation will be from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM Thursday at Stephenville Funeral Home.

Luke was born on May 7, 1925 in Erath County to the late Benjamin and Dollie Lenora Earp Laughlin. He married Deneice Bailey, August 21, 1947 in Stephenville. Luke served in the U. S. Navy during WWII. After the war he worked as a machinist at Convair for 15 years, and retired after several years in Civil Service as a warehouse manager at Carswell Air Force Base. Luke was a member of White Settlement First Baptist Church, a Mason, and has lived in White Settlement for the past 60 years.

Luke is survived by his wife, Deneice, son, R. Laughlin; daughter, Lenora Blackmon of Fort Worth; grandsons, Brett Garrett, and Brian and wife Jillian Garrett of Fort Worth; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Besides his parents, Luke was preceded in death by a son, Michael Laughlin in 2009.
