Lingleville races to state in all three girls relays

(April 29, 2017) — Lingleville is sending a school-record five athletes to the UIL Track & Field State Meet as all three of the Lady Cardinal relays placed second to advance from the Region III-A meet in Whitney Saturday.

Lingleville was second behind only Blum in the 4×100 meter, 4×200 and 4×400 relays. The 4×100 team of Selina Alvarado, Nicole Koke, Natalie Koke and Sam Rodriguez finished in 54.05 seconds. The same foursome finished the 4×200 in 1:54.58, then Rodriguez Natalie Koke, Ilse DeBoer and Nicole Koke stopped the clock at 4:26.34 in the 4×400.

The Lady Cardinals finished second in the final team standings. A week earlier the same relay groupings swept area titles.
