Faye Shook Phears, 85, of Stephenville, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2017 in Stephenville.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, May 2nd at Lanham Mill Cemetery in Somervell County with Harry Brown officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday at Stephenville Funeral Home.
Faye was born on August 29, 1931 in Somervell County to the late Bynum and Beulah Juanita Wilson Shook. She married John A. Phears, on March 6, 1954 in Stephenville. He preceded her in death on June 7, 1997. Faye loved to paint and quilt. She worked for Porter and Son Seed store, Perry Brothers, and Retail Merchants Assn. Faye was a homemaker, and had lived most of her life in Stephenville.
Survivors include her sister, Virginia Bills of Stephenville; nephew, Toby and his wife Pam Bills of Comanche; nephew-in-law, Wayne Hayes of Stephenville; great nephews, Cody and wife Meagan Voorhies of Azle, Daniel Bills of Comanche, and Jimmy and wife Kristin Hayes of San Antonio; great nieces, Brooke and husband Rusty Schmidt of Grandview, Kimberly Bills of Comanche, and Amy Hayes of Stephenville; and nine great great nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Faye was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Buddy Bills; niece, Kay Hayes; nephew, Tommy Bills; and a great nephew, Cory Voorhies.
