STEPHENVILLE (June 2, 2017) — Presentations of Rumors, Dracula and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe highlight the fall lineup for the Theatre at Tarleton.

Performances take place in the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center on the university’s Stephenville campus.

The fall season opens Tuesday, Sept. 26, with the annual ULTRA Club Dinner Theatre. Festivities include a catered dinner for club members followed by the opening presentation of Rumors, Neil Simon’s first attempt at farce.

Ironically, Rumors is set at a dinner party in Palisades, N.Y., gone awry, and is one of Simon’s most celebrated comedies. Rumors runs through Saturday, Sept. 30, with performances at 7:30 nightly.

The Young People’s Series presentation of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, part of The Chronicles of Narnia series by C.S. Lewis, features 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. performances on Saturday, Oct. 21.

The finale for the fall 2017 Theatre at Tarleton season, Dracula, runs Tuesday, Nov. 7, through Saturday, Nov. 11, with performances beginning at 7:30 p.m. The iconic vampire fantasy—an adaption of the novel by Bram Stoker—tells the story of the title character’s attempt to spread the curse of the undead from his castle in Transylvania.

Season tickets for Theatre at Tarleton go on sale in August. Call 254-968-9639 for more information.
