RANGER (June 22, 2017) – The continued growth of Ranger College continues. After naming Jennifer Kent as Vice President of Erath County last week, RC has promoted former Erath VP Kerry Schindler to Senior Vice President for Instruction.

“I have truly enjoyed my time in Erath County,” said Schindler. “It has allowed me to grow personally while contributing to a fantastic community. I have been blessed to live in Stephenville. I hope that I was able to contribute, in small part, to the many successes the community has seen over the past five years.”

Schindler came to Stephenville in 2000 when he enrolled at Tarleton State University to play baseball for the Texans. He continued to enjoy Erath County following graduation when he began teaching and coaching at Morgan Mill. He came back to TSU to earn his Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. After five years as Erath County VP, Schindler will now broaden his scope as he will oversee all instructional matters at Ranger College’s four campuses.

“I am pleased to be moving into a new position that will allow me to have an even wider influence and positively impact more students and communities. As I step into this new role, I hope that I am able to make those same kinds of impacts on a regional scale,” Schindler said.

While he won’t be working in Erath County on a daily basis anymore, Schindler will still be tied to Stephenville. He is married to TSU volleyball coach Mary Schindler and the couple has a son who will be starting school at Chamberlin Elementary in the fall.
