STEPHENVILLE (June 23, 2017) – Next week the Cross Timbers Fine Arts Council will host its annual summer art camp. This year Gilbert Intermediate art teacher Liz Meiron will lead the camp, which is for students ages five and up. The camp is almost full but spots are still available.

The camp begins on June 26 and will run through June 30. One session is from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and the second session is from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Projects include creating a wind chime, tie-dyeing shirts, glazing the color wheel, aboriginal art painting and creating sketchbooks.

“It’ll be a great variety of lessons,” CTFAC executive director Julie Smith said. “It’ll be a mix of painting, ceramics, a little bit of art history study and they will study the color wheel. There is something for all ages.”

The camp costs 100 dollars per child per session. Call the CTFAC at 254-965-6290 to reserve a seat at camp.
