ERATH COUNTY (July 26, 2017) – Drivers in along US Highway 67 north of Stephenville towards Glen Rose can expect delays for the next few months as the Texas Department of Transportation begins work resurfacing the roadway from where US 67 meets FM 913 to where it intersects FM 988 (the intersection of Washington Street and the Northwest Loop).

According to Michael Peters with TXDOT, crews will be milling up the roadway, causing a rough driving surface, overnight beginning Thursday, July 27. Then construction will be done in various places along the base of the roadway, followed by resurfacing of the roadway.

“Crews will begin working nights at first and drivers can expect a rough driving surface,” Peters said Wednesday. “However, as repairs and resurfacing get underway, crews will also work during the day. Over the course of the work, drivers can expect various lane closures at various times.”

Peters said the work will make for a smoother driving surface, once completed. As usual, TXDOT asks that drivers be patient with crews and plan for delays when traveling that way.

Work on US 67 (from FM 988 to FM 913) is expected to be completed by Fall 2017, Peters said, weather allowing.
