STEPHENVILLE (July 31, 2017) — Stephenville kicked off its annual freshman football camp Monday, providing incoming ninth graders with a head start and opportunity to learn the practice expectations now that they are transitioning to the high school level.

There were about 45 incoming freshmen on the field Monday, with the camp beginning at 8 a.m. daily through Thursday. The camp provides the new high school athletes a chance to get to know their position coaches, learn drills they may not have performed at Henderson Junior High and more.

Grades 9-12 at Stephenville and across Texas begin official preseason practices next Monday, August 7, at 7 a.m.
