ERATH COUNTY (August 2, 2017) – The preliminary report from the Tarrant County Medical Examiner is back on the two found deceased on FM 2303 last month. And according to Erath County Chief Deputy Health Crossland, “no trauma was found to either of the deceased.”

While this information does not rule anything out, Crossland said the department was still waiting on the toxicology reports on each body and there is no estimated time on the return of those results.

On Sunday, July 23, deputies were sent to a mobile home on FM 2303 in northern Erath County about the two around 8 p.m. after neighbors called the sheriff’s office worried about the couple. Reports indicate no one answered the door, but deputies found an open back door and two bodies, which were later identified as Robert Calvin Sparks, 51, and Kimberley Ann Cox, 52.

Records indicate the pair received a notice of eviction by Erath County agent Jason Schipper the previous week. Erath County Sheriff Matt Coates said they are looking at all the possibilities of their deaths and Crossland said the department’s CID is working on the investigation.
