(September 9, 2017) — Tarleton State reeled off a fifth straight win to start the season including a third victory over a nationally ranked opponent when the No. 17 TexAnns beat No. 16 Central Missouri State in four sets Friday in the Colorado Premier Challenge.

But that proved to be the end of the winning streak, as Regis, co-host of the tournament in Denver, tripped up the TexAnns in five sets to conclude the day.

Tarleton still won the pool, however, which brings up a Gold Bracket match against the highest ranked opponent in program history. The TexAnns face No. 2 Southwest Minnesota State at 10 a.m. Saturday.
