Lady Lions survive tough early sets, dominate late for 3-1 district mark

(October 3, 2017) — Jordyn Ricks was three kills shy of a triple double as Dublin survived two tight sets then dominated the third for a 27-25, 26-24, 25-15 win over Early Tuesday evening at Roy and Lynn Neff Gym.

The Lady Lions improved to 3-1 in district play with what what sixth-year head coach Ryan Lewis called a great win.

“There were a ton of long rallies and it was a competitive match,” Lewis said. “Overall, we did the best that we have done in minimizing unforced errors, which helped us get the win.”

Dublin hosts Breckenridge at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
