THE GAME
Tarleton returns home to the friendly confines of Memorial Stadium to host Eastern New Mexico on ‘Pink Out’ Day in Stephenville. The Texans and Greyhounds will kick off at 2 p.m. The teams are wearing pink today in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness.

ABOUT THE TEXANS
Tarleton is 4-2 on the season and 3-1 in the Lone Star Conference but are looking to rebound from their first conference loss at Western New Mexico last week. Tarleton is averaging 30.1 points per game on 321.7 yards of offense. Quarterback Zed Woerner has thrown for 925 yards and nine touchdowns in six games. Del’Michael Highleads the Texan receivers with 394 yards on 24 catches with three touchdowns, while Jeff Thomas had 388 yards on 25 catches with four scores. Xavier Turner leads the team with 369 rushing yards and five touchdowns on the ground. Defensively, the Texans give up an average of 25.5 points on 430.2 yards per game. Basil Jackson leads the team in tackles with 56.

ABOUT THE GREYHOUNDS
Eastern New Mexico comes into this week’s game with a 5-1 overall mark, including a 4-1 record in Lone Star Conference play. Under new head coach Kelly Lee, the Greyhounds are averaging 26.8 points per game on 389.3 yards of total offense per game over the first six contests. Wyatt Strand is Eastern’s top passer with 436 yards and three touchdowns while Johnny Smith leads the team with 137 yards receiving. The Hounds are perennially one of the nation’s top ground attacks and the LSC Preseason Player of the Year Kamal Cass leads the rushing game with 781 yards on 172 carries and six touchdowns. Defensively, Fe’ao Vunipola leads the Greyhounds with 38 tackles.

SERIES HISTORY
This is the 26th career meeting between Tarleton and Eastern New Mexico dating back to 1961. The Greyhounds lead the all-time series 14-11 but the Texans have dominated the series since 2001. A 55-14 win over Eastern New Mexico in Stephenville in 2001 started a run of 11 wins over the next 13 meetings, entering tonight’s game.
 
UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
Tarleton will head to Kingsville next weekend for the NCAA Division II National Showcase game on ESPN3 against the Javelinas at 7 p.m.
