Two Dublin residents killed in overnight crash

ERATH COUNTY (October 14, 2017) –  A local family is mourning to loss of two members today as, according to a report from Texas Highway Patrol, a two-vehicle accident killed both passengers in a crash overnight.

On Saturday, October 14, at approximately 12:08 a.m., first responder units were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of FM 8 and FM 219, west of Lingleville.

According to the report, a 2001 Chevrolet pickup, driven by Hunter Melton, 17 of Stephenville, was traveling southbound on FM 219 and failed to yield right of way at a stop sign and struck a 2004 Chevrolet Tracker, traveling west on FM 8 on the right passenger side. The tracker was driven by Mayghan Warner, 17 of Dublin.  Two passengers in Warner’s vehicle died at the scene,

Two passengers in Warner’s vehicle died at the scene, her brother, 16-year-old Zachariah Warner and her father, 39-year-old Robert Warner, both of Dublin.

Mayghen Warner was transported Methodist Hospital in Stephenville and later released. Neither Melton or his passenger, 16-year-old Adrian Maza, of Stephenville, were injured.

The crash is under investigation by the Texas Highway Patrol. Charges are pending.

  1. Don’t you find it inappropriate to include a Minor’s name when he is involved in an accident and may be getting criminal charges? Seems like this article shouldn’t include any of the minor names are all.

  2. Running a stop sign is the worst thing a driver can do. People die almost every time. Killing two people running a stop sign should be 20 years in prison for each person, minor or not. This person destroyed the lives of a dozen plus people living in Texas and Maine. I have no sympathy for this minor, what about the family he destroyed?

  3. There is no happy ending to this tragedy for anyone involved. Prayers for all of them and you might remember a time that you made a mistake before casting stones.

  4. It is never right when somebody runs a stop sign that was my son and my grandson and I can never get back what is missing they were the love of my life and now they’re gone
