AT A GLANCE
The TexAnns will put their season-high 10-match winning streak to the test as they return home to take on Texas A&M-Kingsville on Tuesday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. in the Wisdom Volleyball Gym. The TexAnns are 17-4 overall and in first place in the Lone Star Conference at 9-1. Texas A&M-Kingsville has a 13-8 record and is third in the LSC at 6-4.

LAST TIME OUT
The TexAnns took their longest road trip of the season to New Mexico and returned home with a pair of sweeps of Eastern and Western New Mexico. The latter was 11th sweep of the season for the nationally-ranked TexAnns.

IN THE NATIONAL SPOTLIGHT
Tarleton Volleyball continues its run as a nationally-ranked team as the TexAnns enter the week as the No. 13 team in the American Volleyball Coaches Association poll, the highest ranking in school history. The TexAnns are the highest nationally ranked team in the Lone Star Conference, with Angelo State ranked No. 22. Tarleton’s first national ranking came in the final poll of the 2016 season when the TexAnns debuted at No. 25. They have been ranked in every release since – opening the season at No. 25, moving to No. 17, No. 14, and No. 15 for the last three weeks.

CHASING HISTORY: THE DRIVE FOR 2405
Hailey Roberts enters the weekend with 2,167 career kills and is on the heels of the Lone Star Conference kills record, which has been held by Central Oklahoma’s Alma Brahimaj since 2002. Brahimaj boasts 2,404 career kills during her 1999-02 tenure with the Bronchos.

SERIES HISTORY: TEXAS A&M-KINGSVILLE
Tuesday will mark the 50th career meeting between Tarleton and Texas A&M-Kingsville since the teams first met in 1985. The TexAnns hold the all-time series lead, 28-21, and added to the lead with a 5-set win at Kingsville on Sept. 30. Tarleton has won 11 of 12 against the Javelinas and is 15-7 all-time at home in the series. The TexAnns have won nine straight matches at home against TAMUK since the last loss in 2005.

UP NEXT FOR TARLETON:
The TexAnns will host Texas Woman’s and Texas A&M-Commerce for a weekend doubleheader. The TexAnns face Texas Woman’s on Friday, Oct. 20 at 6 p.m. and Texas A&M-Commerce in a battle of the league’s top two teams on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 2 p.m.
