(October 28, 2017) — Stephenville had to wait from Tuesday to Friday to learn who the Honeybees would face in a Region I-4A bi-district volleyball playoff.
And when the evening of the District 7-4A championship tie-breaker finally arrived, they still had wait for a five-set marathon to end, as that district’s co-champs, Springtown and Kennedale, went-to-toe all the way to the fifth set. Springtown ultimately won to take top 7-4A seed into the playoffs, relegating Kennedale to the No. 2 seed and the pre-set bi-district match with Stephenville.

Stephenville reached the playoffs as the No. 3 finisher behind highly-touted Glen Rose and Midlothian Heritage.
By earning the top seed from its district, Springtown faces 7-4A fourth-place finisher Waxahachie Life in another bi-district battle.
