(October 7, 1949 – October 28, 2017)

Thomas William Moore, 68, of Stephenville, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2017 in Stephenville.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, October 30, 2017 at the Stephenville Funeral Home with Harry Brown officiating.

Thomas was born on October 7, 1949 in Lake Oswego, Oregon to the late Gerald Lewis Moore and Elizabeth Bangs Moore. He married the love of his life, Linda Sikes on January 31, 1970 in Durant, Oklahoma and together they raised two children. Thomas was a Police officer for the Dallas Police Dept. for 28 years before his retirement. He later worked 5 years for the Erath County Sheriff’s Office and 3 years as Deputy Marshall in Lipan before retiring to his farm in Erath County. Thomas was a member of the Johnsville Church of Christ.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years, Linda Moore of Stephenville; son, Ryan Evan Moore and wife Tye Renee of Little Elm; grandchildren, Brielle Renee Moore, and Kyle Evan Moore of Little Elm; brothers, Jim Moore of Corsicana, John Moore and wife Mari-Anne of Farris, and David Moore of Midlothian; a sister, Dana Williams of New Blaine, Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tracey Moore Crowell.

The family would like to say thank you to the Mission Hospice and Stephenville Nursing Home for the care and love that they gave Thomas and the family during this time.
