DUBLIN (January 18, 2017) — Dublin won its seventh straight game and ninth of its last 10 Tuesday, and the Lions did it in convincing fashion with an 80-39 whooping of Early.

It was 25-9 by the end of the first quarter and Dublin never looked back in taking a second step toward defending its 2017 district championship. The Lions were on top 41-17 at halftime and 59-22 entering the fourth quarter. It was little more than a warm-up at home before making the trip to Brady Friday for an 8 p.m. district game.

Rayce Jackson was two steals and a rebound away from a third triple-double this season, scoring 20 points while collecting nine boards and eight steals. He was 6-11 from the floor including 4-9 from the arc while knocking down all his four foul shots.

Josh Hanes was 5-9 from the floor, grabbed five offensive boards, dealt five assists and robbed Early three times with steals. Tyshon Hopkins scored 9 while Tim Teten and Jeremiah Martinez each added 8. Hopkins also had 10 rebounds while Teten had four assists and three steals.
