STEPHENVILLE (February 26, 2018) – Led by 16 hits from the offense and a combined effort from five pitchers, Tarleton made quick work of Adams State, winning 14-1 to complete the four-game sweep and extend its winning streak to seven games.

“It was good to see the boys come out in a professional manner and handle their business,” said head coach Bryan Conger. “We are really proud of their effort and energy this weekend. We need to get ourselves ready for the upcoming weekend by making sure we have good practices the next couple of days.”

Tarleton (9-4) wasted no time jumping ahead of Adams State on Monday, scoring six runs on seven hits in the first inning. Blake Adams led off with a single, followed by Francisco Rodriguez‘s double. The two would later score on Ruben Rodriguez‘s sacrifice fly and Jared McCarver‘s RBI single.

Jake Hasbrouck provided an RBI double off the right center field wall, and Stacy Heinatz added an RBI single to score Hasbrouck. Francisco Rodriguez produced his second hit of the inning, an RBI single that made it 6-0.
