(April 13, 2018) The Stephenville Honeybees run through the Class 4A playoffs came to a stunning halt in the regional semi-finals at Birdville ISD Fine Arts/Athletic Complex in North Richland Hills as Midlothian Heritage came from behind in the second half for a 2-1 victory.

The two teams battled to a 0-0 score at halftime and Stephenville struck first blood with a goal from Claire Choate to make it 1-0. Midlothian finished the scoring from there taking advantage of the loss of Honeybee striker Ciara Johnston who suffered a wrist injury.

Stephenville was looking to avenge an early-season loss to Heritage in a game they dropped 1-0. The Honeybees finish the season with an overall record of 25-4-1.
