If you are a fan of local area high school baseball you’ve got plenty to choose from this weekend and perhaps even a quandary as to what games to attend.

If you want to see the De Leon Bearcats your choices really slim down as they are the only team not playing a three-game series and will facing Fort Hancock in Ozona in a 4 pm game. De Leon is currently ranked 5th in the state by MaxPreps and is sporting a 17-2 record.

Last week De Leon throttled Haskell in a pair of run-ruled games 18-4 and 12-2.

Dublin’s Lions have gotten on a hot streak at just the right time and is slated for a 7 pm game Thursday against the Tolar Rattler another team on a late hot streak. Game two is scheduled for 5 pm Friday with game three if needed to follow immediately after.

Stephenville faces a tough Iowa Park team in Abilene in a 7 pm game Friday at Abilene Christian University’s Crutcher Scott Field.  The two teams will return to Abilene Saturday for a 6 pm second game and if a third game is needed it is expected to start 30 minutes after game two ends.
