Jerry Allen Gazaway

(September 14, 1930—May 16, 2018)

Jerry Allen Gazaway, 87, of Benbrook, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018.

Graveside services were held at 11:00 AM Friday, May 18th at West End Cemetery with David Bearden officiating. Services were under the direction of Stephenville Funeral Home

Jerry was born in Erath County, Texas on September 14, 1930 to Morris Allen Gazaway and Minnie Lee Dove. He attended Tarleton State College, TCU, and UTA. He was a retired Flight Engineer, having worked for thirty-eight years in the aircraft industry.

Jerry was a member of the Western Hills Church of Christ, Tabernacle Masonic Lodge, and a Charter member of the Fort Worth Scottish Rite. He was a Korean War Veteran, having served in the Air Force with the 4th Fighter/Interceptor Wing in Korea.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Loyce; daughters, Debra Roach, Diane Mignano and husband Peter, Jere Dawn Potthoff and husband Joe; grandchildren, Bryan Taylor, John Parks Roach, and Sara Roach; great grandson, Hunter Taylor; step-children, Renee Belden and husband Dave, Gina Conte and husband Michael; eight step-grandchildren, Rachel Rader, Ryan Rader, Drew Belden, Reed Belden, Mark Belden, Elise Belden, Guy Witherspoon, Kyle Witherspoon; and four step-great grandchildren.

Besides his parents, Jerry was also preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Jim Gazaway.

The Gazaway family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to Foster’s Home for Children, P. O. Box 978, Stephenville, Texas 76401.
