STEPHENVILLE – Tarleton Women’s Basketball continues to add talent through the recruiting process as head coach Misty Wilson announced the signing of Rowlett High School standout Laraveun Randle Wednesday morning.
“I am really excited about the addition of Laraveun to our 2018 signing class,” said Wilson. “She has great overall size and is built in a way that many coaches dream of. She is very physical for a high school player and does a great job of using her body to her advantage inside, but the trait that really stood out to me with Laraveun is her work ethic. I truly believe the combination of all of those things will allow Laraveun to be a force within our conference.
“She is an outstanding young lady that possesses all of the traits that we look for in our student-athletes,” she added. “I am really looking forward to coaching her the next four years.”
Randle, who stands at 6-1, comes to Tarleton after a four-year varsity career at 6A Rowlett High School.
She was a three-time District 10-6A Honorable Mention selection and earned a second-team honor following her junior season. She averaged over 6.0 points and 4.0 rebounds for RHS in each of the past two seasons.
Randle is the fifth member of the TexAnn Basketball recruiting class, joining transfers Chanterria Jackson and Destiney Winkfield as well as fellow high school stars Marissa Escamilla and Kandyn Faurie.
