Bring along a dollar or two if you are attending the Stephenville and Glen Rose football scrimmage this Friday at Tarleton’s Memorial Stadium as it’s “Our Day to Shine” in The Ville and a dollar is the price of admission.
“Our Day to Shine” is a project of the Texas High School Coaches Education Foundation with all money going toward the THSCEF’s Benevolence Fund. The fund is designed to help athletes and coaches with special needs or hardships.
More than 900 schools have taken part in the project since it was established by Texas High School Coaches Association Board of Directors. To take $514,000 has been raised and the fund has paid out $536,000.
The Freshmen and JV squad scrimmages are expected to start at 5 pm with varsity scrimmage set for 6:30.
