Stephenville takes its show on the road for the second straight week and will be facing a tough Everman Bulldog squad that is also 0-1 after a 14-7 loss to Crowley.
Bulldog quarterback Antonio Little was 14-25 passing for 122 yards while junior running back Jyden Hollie gained the bulk of Everman’s 166 ground yards with 125 yards on 23 carries.
The Yellow Jackets put up more than 400 yards of offense despite three consecutive three-and-out series and had a 4-1 advantage in takeaways against number one Argyle. The Eagles who hadn’t been beaten at home in six years finally socked the game away for good when they converted a field goal with 56 seconds left in play.

TexasFootball.com only dropped the Jackets one spot in the Class 4-A poll, and Stephenville now is ranked number 5 and the only team with a loss in the top ten.
One real note of interest tonight will be how the Argyle and Waco La Vega game goes as it’s #1 against #3 contest and a Stephenville district opponent as a measuring stick. Tonight’s contest is set for a 7 PM kickoff at Everman High School.
Hico travels to Hamilton for the hottest game in Hamilton County, and the Tigers hit the road with a 0-1 record after a loss to Dublin last week. The Tiger’s fortunes this season will depend on someone stepping into the role of starting quarterback after senior Briley Johnson was lost for the season due to injury.

Dublin plays host to Albany in the annual “battle of the Lions” and will be looking to up their record to 2-0, and it looks like Dublin has a real chance at doing that after an infusion of youth off the junior varsity squad.
DeLeon rolled over the Clyde Bulldogs with a 28-6 win and play host to the Tolar Rattlers tonight. Tolar lost 40-14 against Crawford and probably won’t see their fortunes improve against the Bearcats.
In other area action tonight Lingleville travels to Three Way, Bluffdale is at Kopperl and FAITH in on the road against the Lubbock Titans.
