Stephenville looks to hang on to second place in district play and should be able to take care of business against a Gatesville team that has allowed 252 points on the season.

The Jackets’ 45-20 win over Brownwood last week was a confidence booster after dropping a contest to Waco La Vega the week before. This will be Stephenville’s final regular-season contest as the Jackets only have nine games on the slate.

There is not a bigger game in the Cross Timbers area then Dublin versus Comanche and the Lions take to the road tonight after having suffered their first loss of the season against Jacksboro.

Dublin is 7-1 and has the league’s best offense when it comes to point-scoring and thrilling their fans with come from behind victories that include two one-point wins. Overall Dublin has 262 points in their eight games.

Meanwhile Comanche has checked in with the district’s toughest defense allowing just 111 points on the season, and they have also had three shutouts. A win by the Lions would keep them in the running for a district title, but a loss would seal the deal for the Indians.

DeLeon is matching up against Goldthwaite in a home contest tonight and only needs to take care of business against the Eagles who have been struggling.

DeLeon at 5-3 is a perfect 3-0 in district play just like San Saba, and the Bearcats need to take care of business and not look into next week where a district title game awaits them.

The Bearcats would do well to tune-up their offense against Goldthwaite as San Saba also has a perfect 8-0 season record and has only allowed 51 total points. Yes, you read that right 51 total points.

Hico’s Tigers are 1-2 in district play and need a win in Valley Mills tonight if they hope to make the playoffs. The Tigers opponent next week is third-place Crawford although they theoretically could make the playoffs with just one district win.
