The Yellow Jackets got three first-half touchdowns from senior running back Krece Nowak for a 21-21 tie at halftime, but Stephenville’s offense was hampered by turnovers and penalties that led a 31-21 area round playoff loss.
Nowak ran for scores of 25 and seven yards and caught a 34-yard touchdown. Stephenville lost its poise on a couple of occasions that resulted in unsportsmanlike penalties that allowed Celina drives to continue into the end zone.
Stephenville ends its season at 7-4 on the year while Celina advances to face Argyle.
