Texans look to finish year with win at home against Wiley College

THE GAME
Tarleton men’s basketball returns home in the midst of a three-game winning streak to take on Wiley College in a non-conference matchup. The Texans will take on the Wildcats on Saturday, Dec. 29 at 4 p.m. in Wisdom Gym.

There will be bounce houses in Wisdom Gym for young fans to enjoy.

THE BROADCAST
Each game will have a live radio broadcast presented by the Tarleton Sports Network presented by North Texas Ford Dealers. The Voice of the Texans Byron Anderson will have the call for Tarleton basketball this season. The radio broadcast can be heard on KTRL 90.5 FM in Stephenville and surrounding areas or online at TarletonSports.com/ListenLive.

TICKET INFORMATION
The Tarleton State Ticket Office is open from 1:30-4 p.m. in the main lobby of Wisdom Gym and can be reached by telephone at 254-968-1832. Cash, check, and cards are all accepted. Tarleton’s Stephenville Campus Students receive free admission to all home games with valid Stephenville Campus Student ID. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for non-Stephenville Campus Tarleton students. Children two years old and younger receive free admission.

ABOUT TARLETON:
The Texans are 9-2 overall and 1-1 in the LSC on the season and are averaging 76.7 points per game while holding teams to 68.2 points. The Texans shoot 48.9 percent from the floor and 39.8 percent on 3-pointers. Tarleton has three players averaging double figures with Josh Hawley leading all players with 17.0 points. Corinthian Ramsey averages 13.5 points and Randall Broddie puts up 10.7 points a night. Hawley leads the team with 10.6 rebounds and has six double-doubles in 11 games.

ABOUT WILEY:
Wiley College enters the game 10-2 on the season having won two straight games. Wiley is 4-1 on the road, including a 78-64 win over Midwestern State in November. The Wildcats average 87.3 points and hold teams to 74.1 points. Wiley shoots 47.2 percent from the floor and 36 percent on 3-pointers. Wiley has three players averaging double figures in scoring, led by Joshua Hamilton’s 22.5 points. Tarleton is 3-0 all-time against Wiley, but haven’t played the Wildcats since 2009.

The Texans will return to Lone Star Conference play as they’ll travel to Cameron on Thursday, Jan. 3 at 7:30 p.m. in Lawton, Oklahoma.
